MEMBERS RIDE – TRAVEL THE WHOLE OF SH2
5 DAYS OF RIDING, COMPANIONSHIP AND FUN

If you want to join us just for a day ride to Napier (or even just stay the first night) please let us know
IMPORTANT – you must book your own accommodation. The sooner the better. Prices below are correct as of time of writing. If the places below are booked out, there will be other nearby options. For cheaper options talk to another rider about sharing a motel unit.

DAY 1 – SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER – KAPITI TO NAPIER
Meet 8.00am at BP Kapiti Road. Meet ready for departure with a full tank of fuel. Departure towards the south after the briefing to join SH2 at the bottom of Ngaraunga Gorge
Coffee in Carterton
Lunch in Waipukarau
Arrive Napier approx. 3pm
Accommodation: City Close Motel 50 Munro Street 0.5km from City centre. Price $119 per room
DAY 2 – SUNDAY 1 NOVEMBER – NAPIER TO WHAKATANE
The longest of the riding days – approx 400km.
Coffee, lunch and fuel stops decided the night before
Accommodation: Alton Lodge Motel, Domain Road 1.3km from town centre. Price $125 per room
DAY 3 – MONDAY 2 NOVEMBER – WHAKATANE TO POKENO
Stops decided the night before
Accommodation: Pokeno Motel , Selby Street (restaurant next door) Price $186 for a studio room. Looks like breakfast may be included
DAY 4 – TUESDAY 3 NOVEMBER – POKENO TO TAUPO
This is when we leave SH2 – exact route to be decided on tour, as well as stops etc
Accommodation: Lakefront Lodge Motel, Lake Terrace, 1.4km from town centre. Price $116
DAY 5 – WEDNESDAY 4 NOVEMBER – TAUPO TO KAPITI
